How to implement the NEW EDUCATION POLICY; FROM WHERE TO START

Implementation of NEW EDUCATION POLICY (NEP)

Here are some suggestions for the implementation of NEP and I welcome this policy wholeheartedly.

The NEP will bring a major change in the education system of India and I am suggesting some good and effective methods through which we can implement the new educational idea.

Here I am going to visualize the real situation of the education that how real education circulates and what are the basic things that we should be in perfect. I will not talk about the bereft of computer labs, science labs, playgrounds, infrastructure etc. Because if the below mentioned ideas were taken into account then all these drawbacks will be fulfilled.

On analyzing the NEP, it’s some of the main motives are:

AIM OF THE NEP:

  •  To foster learning among students.
  •  To improve infrastructure in schools.
  •  To provide more opportunities to the students at each class.
  • Enhancing critical learning.
  •  To provide real life experience to students.
  • Eliminating rot learning and increasing competency.
  • To implement new language system in schools.
  • To improve educational and teaching skills of teachers.
  • To increase the gross enrollment ratio in higher schools.
  • To make the fragments of the college degree.
  • Curriculum reforms.

We can conclude that the NEP aims to provide more and better options to the students at each level with high quality education.

To make any dream successful, we must visualize the dream into the real world and should have a premeditated plan.

I think that there is no need to highlight the existing curriculum and the educational system of India because we need robust changes and it is clear that if we need a change then the earlier one is not up to the mark.

Suggestions for implementing NEP:

  1. Primary factors that can bring changes into the educational system are the teachers, parents and students and it is important to know that the education revolves around teachers, parents and students.

So, the most important things that we can do to build a robust educational system are:

1.Teacher’s Training: Starting from teachers is very important because teacher is the only one who understand the needs and requirements of the students.

Teachers should be well trained in: -

  • How to manage class?
  • Communication skills.
  • Disciplinary approach.
  • Socratic questioning.
  • To make good content and curriculum.
  1. Consummative reading and 21ST century skills.

  1. Using latest technical gadgets like-tablet, taking online quizzes and assessments.

These are the basic things from where we can start and develop a conducive atmosphere among teachers, in which they can discuss their own strategies and experiences.

  1. Parent’s involvement:

This is the step which will make a huge difference in the policy implementation because parents are the medians between student and teacher. If parents are well aware about the NEP and its impact on the educational system then they can encourage their children and would show solidarity with the schools that are going to implement the NEP.

Parents should acquaint with the following things:

  • Existing educational system.
  • How the NEP would bring change in the educational system?
  • What will be the impact of new educational system on the students?
  • Why is it necessary to bring new education policy?
  • What will be the new opportunities for their children?

Parents should not be excluded for having a discussion on the NEP because it depends upon them whether they want their children to experience new education system.

Because, at the initial stage, government would implement the policy in some schools and at that time parents, teachers, students and everyone should support.

  1. Student’s intention:

When a teacher enters the class, students wish him and allow the teacher to teach means the class is teacher-oriented classroom and students also think that we are here only to listen and toe the line. This intention needs to be changed for the new educational policy’s positive results because this is what the NEP wants.

How to influence students:

  • Make the class student-oriented.
  • Make them realize about learning and understanding.
  • Make strategies according to the students.
  • Always listen to them and act accordingly.
  • Give them proper assessments and fun based projects.

Always listen to students like a child and treat him/her like an adult, so that he/she can share anything with you and could gain something good.

Role of schools:

  1. As the education is under the concurrent list, government should also include the private schools for implementing the NEP. With every private school there should be a teacher’s training center which would provide the all essential needs for the NEP implementation.

  1. Government schools should be monitored carefully with extra teacher’s training staff. The present condition of the government schools is deplorable and they need a healthy environment with the experts that could take the responsibility of turning each and every stone.

  1. Starting from the NVS and KVS schools can bring the positive results in the educational system.

  1. Multilingual system should be promoted in both the private and government schools.

  1. Vocational educational should be added with expert teachers' staff.

  1. Also, there must be clear understanding between the center and state government, we should also understand that what a state wants and what private institutions are doing.

We are about to make a fun based education system so that India would again be a global educational hub. The journey seems to involve each and every citizen of India and Indians are full of jingoistic nature.
