The killing of 20 Indian army personnel exacerbated the situation at LAC and in the country also. There have been articles and news and perspectives that are given by ex-army officers and Ministers.

Doyens of Indian diplomats and other personalities have shown way forwards to resolve the issue.

After the outbreak in Ladakh which costs twenty lives there is jingoistic nationalism among Indians.

Many officers have shared their experience of the LAC and  handling situations with Chinese when they were on duty.

Some of them described their odd situations and how did they subdued.

Others described that how Indian soldiers should acted.

The former Army chief called for rightsizing the Army with state-of-the-art equipment by not only reducing manpower and pruning existing structures but also augmenting manpower and creating new structures where necessary.

General Bikram Singh (retd) said that given the statements emanating from Beijing and PLA headquarters, it is apparent that China has dug in its heels and is not inclined to disengage.

Military-level talks at various levels are unlikely to yield any perceptible results.

 At the military level, we should be prepared to use force to evict the PLA from the intrusion areas and effectively deal with the escalation, which is bound to occur.

 “This area is of great importance as an intrusion here has the potential to interdict our strategic road that sustains our troops in Sub Sector North — the general area of Daulat Beig Oldie road. In any case, we cannot allow the Chinese to grab any of our areas and alter the LAC."

Opposition Party Reaction

Everyone in the country expressed deepest condolences to the families of martyrs and everyone showed unity and stood against China belligerent nature.

After some time, there was a virtual meeting on June 19 of the Ministers to discuss the issue. Party members asked questions and wanted reasonable answers.

PM mentioned that "no one has intruded in Indian territory and no one subjugated". 

The meeting drew sharp focus on the escalation of tensions at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) that claimed the lives of 20 Indian soldiers. 

Former PM HD Devegowda said --Presentation should be done by government officials or military officials to address the nation regarding the situation at LAC. He also suggested many valuable points to the central government.

Sonia Gandi was so curious to ask many relevant questions which should be asked besides jingoistic nature.

She said "the entire nation fully supported the government in the steps to defend India’s territorial integrity, she also alleged that the government had kept everyone “in the dark about many crucial aspects of the crisis.”

“We have some specific questions, for the government: On which date did the Chinese troops intrude into our territory in Ladakh? When did the government  find out about the Chinese transgressions into our territory? Was it on May 5th, as reported, or earlier? Does the government not receive, on a regular basis, satellite pictures of the borders of our country? Did our external intelligence agencies not report any unusual activity along the LAC? Did the military intelligence not alert the government about the intrusion and the build-up of massive forces along the LAC, whether on the Chinese side or on the Indian side? In the government’s considered view, was there a failure of intelligence,” she asked.
